For many schools (having been focused on teaching pupils and raising¬†achievement) doing research is a new area of professional practice. However¬†at any point in time, a number of ongoing, informative, Action Research¬†projects are being followed. These have acted as catalysts for some of the¬†subsequent projects. that have emerged.¬†After a slow start the number of projects grew during 2014. Perhaps¬†the turning point was when we were invited to attend the International¬†Professional Development Association / Teacher Education Advancement¬†Network conference at the University of Cumbria. Following the¬†dissemination of ideas on that day many seeds were shown both for school-based projects and those in the wider community.
