Pupils as Researchers
Discovery Web Research Projects
Here you will find links to the Discovery Web projects that have been¬†completed. A Discovery Web is a team of five people working¬†together to do some¬†research. Usually this will involve at least three pupils with two¬†adults. Every¬†member of the web has equal status ‚Äď the adults avoid slipping into ‚Äėteacher‚Äô roles¬†but act as components of the¬†team. Discovery Webs do research at a¬†simplified level. They find things out,¬†they use the skills they have and learn new ones. Once answers or¬†conclusions have been uncovered they let others know what they have done.
Each term we plan to establish a new Discovery Web – either by choosing a new research topic, or revisiting work done previously by another web.
